We are pleased to announce that Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities has joined our growing family of rescue mission clients.
Based in St. Paul, Minnesota, the Union Gospel Mission has been feeding and caring for homeless and hungry people in their community since 1902. More than a dozen life-changing programs for men, women and children now operate under the Union Gospel Mission umbrella, from the Christ Recovery Center and Naomi Family Residence to the Gospel Hill Camp and LifeNet Learning Center. Through these and many other programs, the Mission helps change lives by meeting people’s physical, spiritual, emotional and educational needs.
“As one of the premier fundraising agencies in the country that works exclusively with Christian non-profits, Masterworks is an ideal fit for our ministry,” says Ken Peterson, executive director. “Like us, they are committed to spreading the hope of the Gospel, both here and abroad, through their marketing efforts. We chose them because we believe their innovative strategies and creative execution can help us reach even deeper into our community, helping men, women and children in desperate need.”
Besides Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities, the expanding list of Masterworks’ mission clients includes Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, Phoenix Rescue Mission, Orange County (California) Rescue Mission, and Union Gospel Mission Sacramento. Two other progressive homeless ministries — Knox Area Rescue Ministries ( Knoxville, Tennessee) and Metropolitan Ministries (Tampa, Florida) — are also a part of the Masterworks family.
“The fact that Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities has been around for more than 100 years says a lot about the quality of their ministry,” notes Masterworks President Steve Woodworth. “Ministering to the homeless and poor in our inner cities is a cause that has always been close to my heart. I believe we’re going to do great things together and can’t wait to get started.”
