Phoenix Rescue Mission joins Masterworks as newest client

We’re pleased to announce that Phoenix Rescue Mission is our newest client.

Having just celebrated 60 years of ministering to the homeless and poor in the greater Phoenix area, the vision of Phoenix Rescue Mission is to end homelessness and hunger by working with community partners to help transform lives. Originally started as a mission that provided an evening meal, chapel service and clothing to migrant workers and people living on the streets, the Mission has grown into a multifaceted organization that offers shelter and recovery services to the homeless, most recently to women and their children.

“One of the reasons we picked Masterworks was because they work exclusively with Christian non-profits; Masterworks is an ideal fit for our ministry,” noted Jay Cory, president and CEO. “They’ve worked with missions like ours for many years so they understand our commitment to providing Christ-centered, life-transforming solutions to people facing hunger and homelessness.”

Besides Phoenix Rescue Mission, the expanding list of our mission clients includes Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities (St. Paul, Minn.), Orange County (California) Rescue Mission, and Union Gospel Mission Sacramento. Two other progressive homeless ministries, Knox Area Rescue Ministries (in Knoxville, Tenn.) and Metropolitan Ministries (in Tampa, Florida), are also a part of the Masterworks family.

“We get excited every time we partner with an organization like Phoenix Rescue Mission, which is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to meet the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of the poor and homeless,” notes our President Steve Woodworth. “We believe that together, we can move their ministry forward, both strategically and financially, to accomplish the vision that God has given them.”
